Meet Lewis,
Here is the star of my show. He is unique. He basically looks the same as when I drew him 3 years ago except he has gotten more polished of course. Lewis and his best friend are the basis of the strip. No, he isn't an elf. He gets that alot.
I have been drawing since I was 5. Of course that is true for everyone. But when most stopped drawing and started being "cool" I just kept on drawing. It was a major part of my identity when I was growing up. In high school I was greatly encouraged to go to college in art whereas if not for this skill I don't think anyone would have urged me to go. I lived in an ultra rural area and was only one of about 3 or 4 in my class who actually went to college. The other two or three were top of the class in academics. I was middle of the class and had no credentials to my name except Vice president of 4-H. (nobody else ran) My grandparents raised me and they had never dreamed I would go to college. A lady I babysat for was going to college at night and she taught me how to apply for financial aid. An great uncle out in Texas had advised me to get out of that small town and stay out of there! I had no vehicle and $20 in my pocket when I got a ride to campus and began an amazing ride that opened up the world to me. God certainly used that talent in my life to lead me to better things. Sometimes I think that possibly I will still be able to use my skills to do something awesome, one of the things I have dreamed of since I was a teen. I have more important priorities in my life, but if God wants to bless me through my art then I still have to apply the elbow grease and do the work. That is what this blog is about.

hey sis. good luck with this!
I figured out how to get a notification when someone leaves a comment!
from your dashboard, go to settings (in the "manage blogs" area), then click on comments, and all the way at the bottom of that page is an option to receive notifications via email when you get a comment.
Cool! Thanks bro.
